• Our physicians work with the patient’s doctors and make house calls as needed.
• Individual care plans are designed specifically for the unique needs and wishes of the patient and loved ones.
• Priority is placed on symptom management and pain control so the focus of a person’s remaining days is on quality and comfort.
• Registered nurses visit regularly and closely monitor the beneficiary of the service.
• Certified nursing assistants help with personal care, bathing, grooming and comfort.
• Social workers provide assistance with legal, financial, emotional and other end-of-life issues including help accessing community resources if needed.
• Chaplains provide counseling and pastoral support, when requested.
• Various levels of care are available depending on the needs of the beneficiary.
• Our staff is on-call with 24-hour availability for emergency assistance.
• VVCH provides hospice related medications, medical equipment and comfort supplies.
• Volunteers are available to provide encouragement and companionship to our beneficiaries and families, while also providing respite for caregivers.
• Physical, occupational and speech therapy can be coordinated by our hospice team, as needed.
• Our hospice team recognizes family and friends need an extra measure of support both during and after their experience of caring for a terminally ill person. Verde Valley Community Hospice will assist individuals coping with their impending loss and continue to support them as they grieve their loved one.
• Bereavement support.
