Hospice Provides:Routine Home Care, General Inpatient Care, Continuous Home Care and Inpatient Respite Care.
Serving areas Included:Camp Verde, Clarkdale, Cornville, Cottonwood, Lake Montezuma, Rimrock, Sedona and Village of Oak Creek.
Our Team Members Included:Hospice Physicians, Registered nurses, Certified Nursing Assistant, Chaplain, Social Workers, Thanatologist and Volunteers.
Our physicians work with the patient’s doctors and make house calls as needed.
Individual care plans are designed specifically for the unique needs and wishes of the patient and loved ones.
Priority is placed on symptom management and pain control so the focus of a person’s remaining days is on quality and comfort.
Registered nurses visit regularly and closely monitor the beneficiary of the service.
Certified nursing assistants help with personal care, bathing, grooming and comfort.
Social workers provide assistance with legal, financial, emotional and other end-of-life issues including help accessing community resources if needed.
Chaplains provide counseling and pastoral support, when requested.
Various levels of care are available depending on the needs of the beneficiary.
Our staff is on-call with 24-hour availability for emergency assistance.
VVCH provides hospice related medications, medical equipment and comfort supplies.
Volunteers are available to provide encouragement and companionship to our beneficiaries and families, while also providing respite for caregivers.
Physical, occupational and speech therapy can be coordinated by our hospice team, as needed.
Our hospice team recognizes family and friends need an extra measure of support both during and after their experience of caring for a terminally ill person. Verde Valley Community Hospice will assist individuals coping with their impending loss and continue to support them as they grieve their loved one.
The healing circle grief support group is open for the community, who is
experiencing loss in any kind; specially for those who has loss a loved
one. It is an on going support group, which will meet on every
Wednesday from 11:00am-12:30pm. It is hosted by our Chaplain, David
Treadwell.
